Where are donations actually held?
Donations are held in on-chain escrow — a smart contract on a public blockchain — rather than in an ordinary account you have to take our word for. The money sits in escrow until it is released for the emergency it was raised for.
What is recorded, and can it be changed?
Every deposit into escrow and every release out of it is written to a public blockchain. Those records are immutable: once written they cannot be edited or deleted, by us or anyone else. The result is a permanent, tamper-evident audit trail of where money came in and where it went.
Who can move the money?
ALLAVA custodies the funds and controls release, but only through automated safety guardrails — identity verification, sanctions and AML screening, and amount limits. The blockchain record means every one of those releases is visible and verifiable after the fact.
Why does this matter?
Most crowdfunding asks you to trust a company’s dashboard. On-chain escrow lets the flow of money be checked independently, not just displayed. Verifiable custody is the difference between “trust us” and “check for yourself.”
Stablecoins are the plumbing that makes this possible and borderless — but you never have to touch them. You give and receive in ordinary money; the on-chain record works quietly underneath.
